My writing update is back.
Sort of.
My spreadsheet is still a mess, so I’m winging it. And I’m going to lump July, August and September together. Mainly because summer is meant for fun and frolic and not real work, right?
At least that’s what I’m telling myself.

What I Worked On
Come Around, Rachel’s book in the Running with Friends series, was the focus.
You can argue it wasn’t a major focus.
And you would be right.
I spent a lot time with family and traveling this summer, and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
I’ve learned the hard way that if I keep pressuring myself to write without giving myself enough downtime, writing stops being fun. And honestly, keeping it fun is more important to me than hitting an arbitrary word-count goal.
Well, that and my family! Obviously.
The good news is Rachel’s story is moving forward, and I’m excited to spend more time with her.
October Writing Plans
Rachel is getting all of my attention for October.
My plan is to have the first draft of Come Around ready to go by the end of the month.
Really.
It will happen!
Stay tuned.
