Word of the year update #1

It never fails to amaze me how fast January flies by. Sometimes I wonder if it goes faster than December. Everything is shiny. Goals seem attainable. And then bam. Thirty one days pass by in a blink.

I didn’t let the month pass by me without doing some things with my word of the year, enough. I mentioned back in January that I follow Ali Edwards’ One Little Word class. She puts out monthly lessons and prompts so you can get the most out of your word.

For me, this process is about making something tangible out of the feeling the word gives to me. Since I enjoy crafting, making a scrapbook to document how the word follows me day-to-day is fun. Some people do journals, other people just think about things. But I like putting together a book. I thought I would show you a couple of photos of the album I made.

Full disclosure: I bought the supplies from Ali Edwards and followed her instructions. I’m creative, but sometimes I like following directions.

I included a list of intentions and goals for the year. I won’t bore you with those, but I will use them each month to make sure I’m on track to get the things done that are important to me.

My favorite things about this month’s project, though, are the quotes I found for the word enough. I’ve included them below.

The February prompts for the project came out on Saturday, but I haven’t made it there yet. I do know there is a Instagram challenge going on next week that includes taking pictures of yourself.

He who knows that enough is enough will always have enough.

Lao Tzu

I exist as I am, that is enough.

Until next week…
