Who’s That Character?

Today is the start of a new adventure. I mentioned on the last blog post, Out with the Old, the first Thursday of the month will feature a character interview. As I sat down to do the first interview, another thought came to me.

What if you had to guess which character is being featured? I know. Probably more fun for me than you, but I think it has potential, so I’m giving it a try! I hope you do as well!

I’ve listed out 10 questions from a variety of sources (see notes at the bottom if you want to see where I got the questions). A list of potential interviewees is included as well. The same 10 questions will be used each month, but the list of potential interviewees will be reduced as we go. October, November and December’s guesses will be pretty easy (though I might add some additional names to throw you off track)!

To make this more exciting, the first person to email me at carole@carolewolfe.com with the answer to “Who’s That Character?” will receive a free digital copy of my upcoming book, My Best Memory, when it is released. I was hoping for a first quarter release, but it looks like it will be second quarter.

I will include the answer to the question and the name of the winner on my Instagram page.

Let the games begin!

Question: Do you call your mother every day, or only on her birthday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas? Are your parents alive?  Answer: We’ve weaned down the phone calls to once a week or so. But I do call on all the major holidays. And yes, Mom and Dad are both alive and kicking.

Question: What is your motto? Answer: Mistakes are often the greatest teachers.

Question: What is your most marked characteristic? Answer: I am a reformed slob. My house used to be a mess. It started when I was a kid and somehow morphed into

Question: What is your most treasured possession? Answer: Assuming this refers to things and not people (because my kids and my fiancé would go to the top of the list if that’s the case), I’d have to say that I like my new vacuum cleaner. It takes care of any mess my son can dish out.

Question: What is your greatest extravagance? Answer: A housecleaner!

Question: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Answer: I wish I would have seen the light earlier when it came to organizing my house. If I’d listened to my sister when we were kids, I think we would have gotten along better growing up.

Question: What historical figure do you most identify with? Answer: I don’t know if she classifies as a historical figure, but Renee Zellweger when she played Bridget Jones in the movies is someone I can relate to. Bad man, messy house, bad habits. But it all turned out okay in the end so that’s why I like her.

Question: Coke or Pepsi? Answer: Coke. Just don’t tell my dentist.

Question: What superpower would you like most? Answer: X-ray vision – It would be great to see what my kids are doing in the other room!

Question: What would you consider your greatest achievement? Answer: Recognizing my mistakes and moving on from them. My goal is to learn from the things that don’t work so that I can make better choices in the future. I think I’m on the right path.
