Who’s That Character?

Did you enjoy last month’s contest? For those of you who didn’t see the answer on Facebook or Instagram, the correct answer to April’s Who’s That Character? was Sara. You can click here to read the Q & As. No winner in April, but maybe someone will win in May.

A refresher on the contest:

The first person to email me at carole@carolewolfe.com with the name of the character who is answering the “Who’s That Character?” questions will receive a free digital copy of my upcoming book, My Best Memory, when it is released, June 3, 2021. I will include the answer to the question and the name of the winner on my Facebook and Instagram page.

Let the games begin!

Question: Do you call your mother every day, or only on her birthday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas? Are your parents alive? Answer: My parents are no longer living, but I used to go bowling with my dad every Thursday night and I had dinner with both my mom and dad the first Sunday of the month.

Question: What is your motto? Answer: Don’t give up on the things you love.

Question: What is your most marked characteristic? Answer: I am levelheaded. Considering the drama my family has enjoyed creating over the years, I think being calm has helped me weather the storms of a crazy ex-son-in-law, a meddling bowling team and a wife who likes to dip her toes into everyone else’s business.

Question: What is your most treasured possession? Answer: The blue and white fourteen pound bowling ball my wife gave me for our fifth wedding anniversary.

Question: What is your greatest extravagance? Answer: I bought a first edition Louis L’amour book a couple of years ago. It wasn’t that expensive, but it’s not something I do all the time.

Question: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Answer: I wish I would have taken more risks. I made decisions based on what would bring the most security to my family. It worked out, but I’ll never know what might have been if I had tried something new.

Question: What historical figure do you most identify with? Answer: Jimmy Carter. It might not have been as big of a deal as what he did with Israel and Egypt, but I was able to broker a peace agreement between my wife and youngest daughter.

Question: Coke or Pepsi? Answer: Coke

Question: What super power would you like most? Answer: Telekinesis. I would be a much better bowler if I could make the bowling bowl bend to my will.

Question: What would you consider your greatest achievement?  Answer: My family.  It hasn’t been what I expected, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
