I’m excited to let you know that the book is one step closer to getting published. My Best Decision – Sara’s Story will be back from the proofreader next week so I should be able to set a publishing date. I was hoping for May, but it might be early June. We shall see. I’m still getting covers for the books and have some other details to put in place.
I’ve also started getting an outline together for book three which will be China’s story. If anyone has suggestions for the title of the book, I’d love to hear them. I’ll give you a couple of spoilers: we find China in Las Vegas, searching for a job and trying to get back on her feet. Not much to go on, I know, but sometimes the sparsest of details can spark an idea.
The current free story on the website is the first three chapters of Sara’s story and I’ve got an idea for an update. It’s a little different as it is from Max’s perspective (Tasha and Sara’s dad) and gives more insight into his marriage with Helene. As many of you will remember, I originally thought the next book would be Helene’s story, but after much reflection, I decided it wasn’t the right time. But a short story where we can see how Helene evolved might give us more appreciation for why she can be a bit of a pain in the butt.
Something else I’m considering is a novella featuring Renee. As the receptionist of Smith, Rogers & Shaw, L.L.C., Renee is privy to lots of secrets. I thought that might be a fun little story to discover. Plus, I’m curious how Renee deals with change, sort of like the change we are seeing during this pandemic.
That’s all for now. I hope you are safe and healthy and finding lots of things to do or not do. As I mentioned last week, I’ve slowed down on certain things (reading) but picked up the pace on others (writing). Do what you need to do and we will get through this.
