It’s a new year!

Can you believe it? 2022 at last! Not that I didn’t enjoy 2021, but here’s hoping that we can finally get a handle on the craziness of the world. Although as I alluded to in the blog’s sub-title, 2022 might have a few curveballs to throw us.

What to expect:

I’m keeping things simple in 2022.

My goal of publishing two books in 2021 didn’t happen, so I’m going to try again. My Lucky Gamble – Brianna’s Story is scheduled for June 2022 and My Lucky Break – Cynthia’s Story is in process for Fall 2022. Brianna’s story arrived back from the editor this week, and the first draft of Cynthia’s story should be complete by Friday. I think I’m in good shape to make this goal happen, but we shall see. (And yes, I should never “say” things like this aloud because it begs for something to happen.)

I’m also posting two or three blog posts per month, rather than once a week like I did last year. The blog schedule looks like this:

What To Read – The second Thursday of the month, I’m going to share my thoughts on what I’m reading. I’m giving Reese’s Book Club a go (a big thank you to my friend Tracey for the recommendation!) for 2022. First up is Honor by Thrity Umrigar.

Publishing News – The fourth Thursday of the month, I’ll share what is going on in my book writing life as well as other launches that I think you might be interested in. If there is a sale or freebie, I’ll share that as well.

Potluck – If there is a fifth Thursday of the month, I’m going to post a Potluck Pig. Most of you know about my affinity for pigs, so I thought I’d scour the web for some cute (or not so cute) pigs to share with you. I have one over on my Instagram now that is holding onto my glasses for me so I don’t lose them.

And that’s the plan for the 2022. If this year is anything like the last two years, you and I both know that things may change. I’ve come to the conclusion that I am a much more flexible person due to the pandemic. That’s my “making lemonade out of lemons” take on it.

What do you have planned for the new year? I’d love to hear what your goals and intentions are. Send me an email at carole@carolewolfe.com with any ideas of things you’d like featured in the blog. I’m open to suggestions.

Until next time…
